A case study of CLT application to residential building in flood zone
Hongyan Liu | hyliu@mines.edu
After hurricane Irma, the loss of the residential house is tremendous. Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) is a trend of new way to building the timber structure now. Our final goal is to compare the cost of CLT and traditional light-frame residential house before and after the flood so that we could provide the home owner options to optimize build their home in flood zone.
