Health and Well-being

The Health and Well-being Ore Cart promotes personal and collective wellness through engagement and experiential learning, while advocating for a community where everyone is encouraged and empowered to be the best versions of themselves. It involves educating oneself and taking action within the seven dimensions of well-being — Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Physical, Social, and Spiritual. This Ore Cart highlights the importance of navigating and managing sometimes-conflicting priorities to develop a life with purpose, connections, resilience and wellness in order to flourish and thrive.  

Completing an activity or actively engaging in experiences focused on Health and Well-being will display student’s skills that are:

Emerging
  • Engage with trainings to enhance personal and community well-being.
  • Identify and understand a range of emotions and enhance their emotional intelligence.
  • Display an awareness of needs and resources to develop confidence and a sense of security.
Developing
  • Manage themselves and their resources to maintain positive emotions and reduce negative outcomes.
  • Build connections to obtain support when needed.
  • Establish personal and professional goals that expand their knowledge and skills of health and well-being.
  • Accept challenges that arise and utilize resources to overcome adversity.
