Liz Schwarze
General Manager, Exploration Chevron Africa and Latin America Exploration and Production Company

Liz Schwarze is General Manager, Exploration for Chevron Africa and Latin America Exploration and Production Company, a position she assumed in June 2016. As General Manager, Exploration, Ms. Schwarze is responsible for planning and execution of exploration projects in the region, and serves as a member of Chevron’s Corporate Exploration Leadership Team that manages the company’s Global Exploration portfolio and strategy.

Prior to taking the current post, Ms. Schwarze served in the same role in the Asia Pacific region and was based in Singapore for 2 years. From 2013 to mid-2014, she was a Division Manager of Exploration and Reservoir Characterization Services at Chevron Energy Technology Company.

Ms. Schwarze joined Chevron in 1990 as a development geologist in the Gulf of Mexico. Between 1995 and 2013, she held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of exploration, Reservoir Management, Finance, and Business Planning and worked on projects in Venezuela, Angola, and the San Joaquin Valley and the Permian Basin in the United States. She is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists ad the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Ms. Schwarze holds a B.S. degree in Geology from Duke University, an M.A. degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Tulane University.
