Mines is currently designing a new sophomore student residence hall to be located on the south side of 19th Street, midway between Elm and Illinois Streets. As a part of this project, Mines is seeking Golden City Council approval to make adjustments to the Welch Ditch to make room for the residence hall structure on the property.

As a valued neighbor, we invite you to learn more about this project by attending one or both public Golden City Council meetings at 6:30 PM on February 27 and March 5, 2024 in the City Council Chambers (911 10th Street, Golden) or via webcast. To download the agenda for the meetings, or view archived agendas, minutes or web casts from past meetings, please visit: https://www.cityofgolden.net/government/city-council/agenda-minutes-web-casts-meeting-schedule/

We anticipate that site preparation work could begin later this spring as we continue to work through finalizing the building design.
