Sorority Recruitment

The Fraternity & Sorority Life community at Colorado School of Mines is thrilled to congratulate you on your acceptance to one of the nation’s top engineering schools. One of the things we love most about Mines is the strong bond we share as Helluva Engineers, united by our passion for academic excellence and innovation. As you embark on this exciting journey, we encourage you to get involved beyond the classroom by exploring our many clubs, organizations, and vibrant fraternity and sorority community — a great way to build lifelong connections and make the most of your Mines experience! 

Sorority recruitment is an exciting, formalized process where undergraduate women have the opportunity to meet each of our four chapters and discover the best fit for them. Recruitment is organized into three rounds — Philanthropy, Sisterhood, and Preference Night — each designed to give you a glimpse into the values, friendships, and experiences that define each chapter. Throughout the process, you’ll not only get to know the women within our sororities, but also build connections with others going through recruitment alongside you. It’s a wonderful opportunity to find your community and begin your journey in Greek Life.

Sorority Recruitment Dates

Philanthropy Round: Saturday, September 6th, 2025 

This day is designed to introduce potential new members to each sorority by highlighting their philanthropic partners and showcasing the events they host to support their causes. 

Sisterhood Round: Sunday, September 7th, 2025

This is an invitation-only day focused on exploring the shared values that unite each sisterhood, while also giving you the chance to learn more about their commitment to scholarship, leadership, and involvement. 

Preference Round: Monday, September 8th, 2025

This is the final invitational round, where each chapter will share a special ceremony and reflect on their sisterhood, offering a glimpse into what being part of their community truly means to them. 

Bid Day: Tuesday, September 9th, 2025

This is the moment when potential new members will learn if they have received a bid to join a chapter. It is a celebratory occasion where new members are officially welcomed into their sorority.
