Katie Lake was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, CO, and came to Mines to study mechanical engineering.  In her spare time, Katie loves going on runs, playing basketball and playing lacrosse.  Other hobbies include woodworking and building tables.  In the summer months, Katie loves to spend her days at the lake with family and friends and pursuing outdoor activities such as like hiking, tele-skiing and water-skiing.
