How can I enroll?

New Hire employees can enroll within 31 days from their date of hire.  However, Benefits are effective back to the employee’s first day of eligibility.  For more information on how to enroll in Benefits, please refer to our Faculty & Staff New Hire Benefits Job Aid.

When will I get an insurance card?

You can expect to receive your physical insurance card in the mail within 7-14 business days of enrollment. Your coverage is effective from your date of hire. Upon receiving your physical ID card, you can access your Anthem documents conveniently through Anthem’s website or the Sydney Mobile App available for download on Google Play or the Apple store.

If you enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision,  you will get one insurance card for three services.

If You Don’t Enroll

If you do not elect benefits within 31 days of your hire date, you will be enrolled in employee-only medical coverage through the Anthem Blue Cross & Blueshield PPO Prime plan.

The benefits your elect  now will be in effect through the end of the calendar year unless you have a qualifiying life event.  Your next opportunity to  make changes will be during the annual Open Enrollment period each fall.  Elections made during open enrollment are effective January 1st of the following year.
