Spring Career Days, a two-day event held Jan. 30-31, offers myriad opportunities for Colorado School of Mines students to meet and network with potential employers.
The Student Recreation Center was full of students and employers for the first day of Spring Career Days. Each day features different employers, with a wide span of industries in attendance Jan. 30, including Chemicals, Civil & Construction, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Environmental Resources, Mining, Transportation & Logistics, and Utilities.
Slade Castle, a master's student in petroleum engineering, talks to recruiters from Matador Resources during the first day of Spring Career Days. Career Days is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent Mines alumni.
Jasmine McCrary, a senior majoring in computer science, speaks to recruiters at Michael Baker International, an engineering consulting firm. Career Days are a great opportunity for students of all majors to explore potential job opportunities in a wide variety of industries.
Students take a quick break from meeting with recruiters outside Lockridge Arena. The Career Fair Plus app allows students to view attending companies in advance of the day, filter by specifications to find employers who fit their interests, view the booth map and more.
Earth resources PhD student Ebubekir Demir networks with a recruiter from Nabors Industries. Mines students are encouraged to put their best foot forward by dressing in business formal or business casual attire.
