Isabel is an M.s student in the Mining Engineering program at the Colorado School of Mines. She has a BS in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She is very motivated by the social and environmental challenges that mining currently has and her professional goal is to contribute to societal well-being through the mining industry and change the negative public perception of mining. Her areas of interest also include environmental and community aspects of mining, remediation, extractive metallurgy, drilling and blasting, and underground mining.
