Pejman Tahmasebi

Associate Professor, Colorado School of Mines

Pejman TahmasebiPejman Tahmasebi attended the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) and conducted research on machine learning. Then, he worked under the supervision of Prof. Sahimi of the University of Southern California (USC) on porous media modeling and subsurface systems for his Ph.D. in a dual program. He then joined Stanford University as a postdoc and worked on advanced statistical modeling. He worked as an associate research scientist on a project jointly between the University of Texas at Austin and USC on the development of reconstruction methods in porous media. Later, he conducted research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) on granular materials in the context of geomechanics, in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. He joined the University of Wyoming as an Assistant Professor and later joined the Colorado School of Mines as an Associate Professor.
