Hydrodynamic Instabilities
Our work in hydrodynamic instabilities includes: (1) the linear stability of channel flows and flat-plate boundary layers in the presence of porous walls, (2) centrifugal instabilities in Taylor-Couette cells, (3) buoyancy-driven instabilities that occur during carbon sequestration, and (4) vortex shedding in membrane filtration systems.
