Final Exams

The MTC follows the Registrar Final Exam Policy:
Students who will have conflicts with the final exam schedule,  have three or more exams or more than 6 hours of testing on the same day, may request an alternate day. The instructor of the highest numbered course is required to grant relief (e.g., an alternate time during exam week). Student needs to communicate with their instructor. If arrangements are made for a make-up exam, this information must be included in the Additional Note text box in the exam request.

Students with extended time who have two final exams in the same day:
Students in this situation can discuss with their instructors to spread the exams out between 8 am and 9 pm to allow a break between exams. When selecting a different start time from the regularly scheduled final exam, you must include a note explaining why in the Additional Note text box of the exam request.

Students with the “exams completed prior to X:XX” accommodation:
If a student’s final exam is scheduled to end later than the time listed in their accommodation, the student will need to discuss an alternate time with their instructor. Student must note they have professor approval in the Additional Note text box in the exam request.

When the regular final exam is scheduled from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm:
– Students with 1.5x extended time will begin at 6:00 pm
– Students with 2.0x extended time will begin at 5:00 pm
