Student Wellness
Blaster Boxes are designed to educate Mines students on different topics of wellness while providing quick and specific information on campus resources and tools to create healthy habits.
Student Wellness Promotion will have boxes ready and available throughout the academic year for students to request and pick-up for their own use or for programming purposes.
The Back-Up Box will provide educational content and supplies to students on the topics of overdose, how to take action, partying safely and responsibly, the Good Samaritan law and Amnesty Policy, and drink sizes.
The Balanced Box will provide educational content and supplies to students on the topics of resilience, stress management, and self-care.
The Bedtime Box will provide educational content and supplies to students on the topic of sleep hygiene and how to get better quality and consistent sleep.
The Be Well Box will provide educational content and supplies to students around the topic of staying healthy throughout the semester.
The Birthday Box is a gift for students who are turning 21 to provide discounted and free deals from around the Golden community while providing education on safe drinking and drug use.
The Blast-off Box will provide educational content and supplies to students on the topic of sexual health and relationship wellness.
Blaster Boxes are currently FREE for students to order and pick up! If parents, family members, or friends would like to donate to keep this outstanding program going, please support Student Wellness Promotion in partnership with the Mines Foundation. Funds will be used to conduct programs to help Mines students build and access the tools needed to stay well during college and beyond. Programs will promote holistic student well-being and address issues of community health and wellness, such as: mental health, alcohol and substance abuse, connectedness, resilience, sleep, stress management, sexual health, nutrition, and more.
