Office of Public Affairs and External Relations

Mines Office of Public Affairs and External Relations serves as a liaison with federal, state, and community partners to advance the university’s mission and maximize the impact of Mines' education, research, and leadership. The office supports the university's academic and research enterprise—promoting innovative solutions that drive real-world impact in our community, across the nation, and around the globe.

Mines faculty and staff who have questions about federal or state legislation, rulemaking, or planned advocacy activities are strongly encouraged to coordinate with Mines Public Affairs and External Relations to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and protocols.
