Dr. Elliot Kapit has been the most empathetic and compassionate professor that I have ever had the pleasure to be educated by at the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Kapit has taken this unusual semester and truly facilitated it in a way that his students could still learn in a positive environment. Not only have his lectures been very interesting and informative, but he resonates with the struggles that his students have experienced during this pandemic. He has been extremely understanding and has allowed students in PHGN 462 to complete adequate work in a manner that allows for us to learn while not overwhelming students. I would seriously like to thank Dr. Kapit for administering his class in this manner and I hope that future physics students have the pleasure to learn from him.

I have no idea how she does it — but she stays on top of the process and several steps ahead — so we as faculty are incredibly lucky to have ORA Staff like Lauren Kitchen. She manages to submit fantastic proposals and white papers during the hairiest deadlines I can imagine. I could not do this without you! Many thanks!!!
