Mines students need your help!

"How do I make a career change after 10 years in the same field?"

"How do I decide between grad school and entering the workforce?"

"What do future job prospects look like in the aerospace industry?"

Students are seeking experienced alumni to give them advice and answer questions about careers, community and opportunities.

Ask an Oredigger Alum is a new email-based resource from the Mines Foundation that connects students with alumni who have relevant experience and insight. When a student’s question matches your background, you may receive an email inviting you to help. If you can answer, simply reply from your inbox.

There’s no new platform or profile to manage. It’s free and easy for all Orediggers, and all questions go right to your inbox. Your identity remains private until you share it with the person asking the question.

Ask an Oredigger Alum isn’t just for students.

As an alum, you can tap into the Oredigger network, too. Whether you’re considering a career change, exploring a new industry, looking for technical advice, relocating to a new city or looking for insight from someone with relevant experience, you can submit your own question and be connected with a fellow alum who will point you in the right direction.

There’s no need to sign up, but if you’d like to help students, add ask-an-alum@mines.edu to your email’s safe senders list and make sure we have your current contact information, job, company and location so we can send you questions that match your experience.

Update your info at weare.mines.edu/updateinfo.

It’s Orediggers helping Orediggers, whether you’re sharing what you know or looking for someone who’s been there before.
