Power Up, Step Up or Catch Up with Summer Courses

Ready to make a splash this summer? Choose from more than 100 summer courses and accelerate time to degree completion, improve your GPA, or take the classes you need to graduate on time. Summer courses through Mines will count towards your graduation completion (note if you’re planning to take a class at another institution, you’ll need approval to transfer the credit).

Are you an incoming first-year or transfer student? Get to know your classmates and faculty earlier than the fall start and shorten your journey to graduation by getting a jump start on your time at Mines this summer.

If you’re a continuing student and need assistance choosing a course or need guidance about major or minor requirements, connect with an academic advisor through CASA.

How do I register for summer courses?

Is there priority registration for summer?

Registration for summer classes typically opens in the spring for continuing students. Newly admitted summer students can register once they have submitted their intent to enroll. Students admitted for the fall who would like to take summer classes should contact the Admissions Office for information about enrolling.

Is financial aid available for summer courses?

Summer financial aid may be available through grants, federal loans, Mines loans and private loans. Learn more about summer financial aid to explore your options and eligibility.

Can I take courses online?

Yes! Summer courses are available both online and on campus. See the course schedule to check which modality is available for the course you need. To view only online courses, use ‘Distance Courses’ for the Schedule Type in the Advanced Search options.
