Grand Engineering Challenge: Restore and improve urban infrastructure

Student Preparation

Qualifications

Required coursework already taken: thermo and fluids.

Time Commitment

40 hours/month

Skills/Techniques Gained

Learn how to do energy and hygrothermal simulations in WUFI and EnergyPlus. Depending on results, there is also a chance to present results at a conference.
Student will also improve her/his technical writing as part of this project involves writing a technical paper and a poster

Mentoring Plan

Meet weekly to review progress done. Student will be part of a research group consisting of grad and undergraduate students, thus every week the student will be presenting to a group of grad and undergrad students.
