Mines Sustainability Scavenger Hunt:
Stop #1

LET’S GET STARTED!
There is a lot that goes into sustainability and Mines is on a journey to make campus ready for the future, so we’re glad you’re here to learn a little about campus and our goals!
Hunt Instructions:
Each site will have a lawn sign with a QR code that’ll give you some information about the building you’re at and the clue to the next site. There are 14 sites and you’ll need to hit them all to answer the final riddle!
Prizes:
When you complete the hunt, post a picture of you near the scavenger hunt sign to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter tagging @MinesGreenLife and including the riddle answer (or email info@peoplepowerplanet.com) to be entered to win one of 25 smart power strips and numerous other prizes including solar powered charging banks and speakers, water bottles and more. Riddle hints are given per letter at the bottom of each web page. Additionally, you can sign up for a FREE account at mines.peoplepowerplanet.com to be entered to win one of four $25 or $50 Amazon gift certificates!
Have fun!
Welcome to the Ben Parker Student Center!
It’s no surprise we’re starting this hunt at the building which is a major hub on campus and basically a one-stop shop for everything student related. You’ll find multiple food options in the Periodic Table, help at the financial aid office and swag at the bookstore and of course organizations like SAIL (Student Activities, Involvement and Leadership), MAC (Mines Activities Council), International Programs and the Career Center. Interested in something particular? Check out one of the more than 220 student organizations including the MGT (Mines Green Team) because if sustainability is your thing, we want your help making Mines more green!
This year, the Student Center will be home to a compost pilot as the Mines Sustainability Office seeks to determine the logistics necessary to make composting assessible across campus.
Hint for the next stop: this is the best place on campus to get a workout in
