Learn More About your Helluva Welcome Experience

This page is intended to help first-year residential students prepare for their Helluva Welcome experience! First-Year Residential students are students who are living on-campus in a Mines Residence Hall.

To learn more about your experience, explore the schedule that coincides with your assigned move-in date. If you have been assigned a date different than those listed below, you will be communicated with directly regarding your Helluva Welcome schedule.

Moving in Saturday, August 10th

Saturday, August 10th

Move into your Residence Hall
Attend Convocation and the Welcome BBQ with your family or support system

Sunday, August 11th – Monday, August 12th

Attend Oredigger Camp in Estes Park, CO

Tuesday, August 13th – Wednesday, August 14th

Depart Oredigger Camp on Tuesday and come back to campus for evening programming
Attend mandatory sessions and on-campus programming on the Mines campus

Thursday, August 15th

Attend International Student Orientation (if applicable)
Attend Signature Learning Communities Welcome & Orientation (if applicable)
Participate in optional walk-in hours for various campus offices
Meet your Peer Mentors and kick off the weekend with your Helluva Welcome group

Friday, August 16th

Participate in the M Climb- one of Mines’ oldest traditions
Engage in on-campus programming throughout the afternoon and evening

Saturday, August 17th

Gather with your entire incoming class for the annual M Photo
Participate in a Service Project in the Golden community
