After May 1, you can review the digital Blaster Book New Student & Family Guide. This guide is intended to help you work through the steps needed to start at Mines and dives deeper into the resources & services here to help you. This is a great guide for your family and support system as well! *Please note that the checklist portion of the book applies to August starts*

Welcome Webinars

Details

NeST hosts a series of Welcome Webinars for incoming students and their support systems as you lead up to starting your journey at Mines. These virtual webinars take place over the summer and  feature various offices and topics and are intended to provide you with timely information to help you prepare for your Mines experience. New Students starting in January are encouraged to review the recordings prior to starting at Mines.

Spring Orientation

Spring Orientation welcomes all incoming Orediggers who start their Mines journey in January 2025 and is designed to prepare students for a smooth and successful transition to Mines. This one-day orientation program is for those undergraduate students who have committed to enroll at Mines in January 2025 and have submitted both their Enrollment Decision form and Enrollment Deposit.

    CSM201

    Spring Semester

    Details

    CSM201 is an optional transfer student seminar course that students can take during their first semester. This course helps equip you with the resources to succeed and thrive during your time at Mines. The class is taught by a Mines staff member and two upper-class Peer Mentors and focuses specifically around the transfer student experience. Topics covered include major exploration, study skills, and campus resources.
