After May 1, students who have submitted their intent to enroll will receive a Blaster Book New Student & Family Guide in the mail. This guide is intended to help you work through the steps needed to start at Mines and dives deeper into the resources & services here to help you. This is a great guide for your family and support system as well!

June-August

Details

NeST will be hosting a series of Welcome Webinars for incoming students and their support systems as you lead up to starting your journey at Mines. These virtual webinars feaure various offices and topics and are intended to provide you with timely information to help you prepare for your Mines experience.

Helluva Welcome

August 10-17

Details

Between August 10-17, all incoming students will take part in Helluva Welcome! Transfer students will spend time getting to know campus and participating in longstanding Mines campus traditions like the M Climb! Additionally, transfer students will have the option to attend Oredigger Camp in the Rocky Mountains as part of Helluva Welcome.

Elevate Your Mines

First 60 days of Classes

Details

Elevate Your Mines focuses on programs happening on-campus during the first 60 days of the fall semester. This program features a first day photos event and a compiled calendar for students to reference throughout their start at Mines.

CSM201

Fall Semester

Details

CSM201 is an optional transfer student seminar course that students can take during their first semester. This course helps equip you with the resources to succeed and thrive during your time at Mines. The class is taught by a faculty or staff member and two upper-class Peer Mentors and focuses specifically around the transfer student experience. Topics covered include major exploration, study skills, and campus resources.
