Mines is on the lookout for dynamic STEM Summer Camp instructors for 2024! Envision the possibilities as you collaborate with another T@M student or a T@M Mentor Teacher to craft and lead a week-long half-day camp tailored for rising K-8 students. These immersive camps are scheduled for June and July 2024, promising a rewarding experience. Instructors not only receive financial compensation ($325) but also have the unique opportunity to propose and teach their own STEM camp.

If you’re intrigued, submit a STEM Camp Proposal including:

  • A brief introduction including your names and snapshots of each instructor’s teaching experience.
  • A captivating description of your chosen camp theme or topic, drawing inspiration from last year’s examples at link.
  • An estimated budget outlining materials/supply costs, considering a maximum enrollment of 20 students.
  • Specify your preferred week in June/July (excluding the week of July 4th) and decide whether your camp will be a four-day (Mon-Thurs) or five-day (Mon-Fri) venture.
  • Clearly define the target grade level group for your camp, choosing from K-2, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7, 6-8, and 7-8, with a preference for younger kids/elementary grade camps.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Develop your own camp with another T@M students or T@M mentor teacher to inspire young minds in STEM. Proposals accepted until Feb 2. For questions or submissions, contact Rhonda Dvornak at rdvornak@mines.edu.
