Welcome back!! We’re excited for this new year and super excited to start our first year at Mines with Teaching as an official part of the Mines Catalog!!!

We now have an official Minor in Teaching and a BS in Engineering with a STEM Teaching focus area!

The TEA Club (Teachers Education Alliance) will meet in the TEA Room (CK386) every other Wednesday at 5pm starting 8/25 . This room is always open for Teach@Mines students to use or study in. If you have any questions about TEA, please email the President, Dawson, at dawsontlang@mines.edu.

Teach@Mines will be offering the following courses Fall 2021:

  • SCED 262 K-12 Field Experience: Thursday 6 – 6:50 in CK 140 (1 credit) Paid Work Study and Internship opportunities for classroom hours!
  • SCED 333 Educational Psychology and Assessment: Monday 6:00 -7:15 in CK 140  (3 credits) 300 level H&SS elective!
  • SCED 415 Scientific Practices vs. Engineering Design and the Nature of Science: Tuesday 6:00 – 8:30 in CK 140 (3 credits) 400 level H&SS elective!

We’re looking forward to this coming year and will see you at our mid-term Ice Cream Social and Demo Show.
