Admissions Office Specialist

Cara joined the Mines Admissions team in 2023 as the Office Specialist. Cara is originally from Portugal but has been in Colorado since 2015. She graduated from CU Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and she is starting to work towards a master’s degree in data science. Cara works with outside vendors on contracts for the Admissions team, makes purchases for office materials and equipment, and ensures that the Admissions office runs smoothly. Outside the office, Cara can be found volunteering at the animal shelter, exploring Colorado, and stress-baking.
