Admissions Counselor

Julia is a proud Colorado native who grew up in Littleton, Colorado. She joined the admissions team as an Admissions Counselor in 2023! She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018 – the place where her love of higher education began. She taught the most amazing 5th grade students for a few years before pivoting into admissions to help a different demographic of scholars. She is passionate about opening doors and fostering community at Mines from the very first conversation. Colorado School of Mines is an exceptional place to learn and grow and being able to work and be part of a student’s educational journey is an honor to her.

Beyond her expertise in guiding students, you’ll find Julia swaying to the rhythm of concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater, engrossed in the worlds woven by literature, or playing with her dogs Juneau and Winston. Fueling her passion for both knowledge and adventure, she has traversed the globe, collecting diverse perspectives to enrich your academic journey.
