Recruiting at Mines

Interviewing

Interviewing and recruiting at the Colorado School of Mines is centralized through the Career Center making your experience efficient, optimal, and seamless. Mines has several interviewing options to choose from, in addition to our recruitment assistance available year-round.

Career Days

Employers that participate in Mines Career Days may create appointment schedules for immediate follow-up with Mines students around Career Days. Be sure to request to reserve a space soon after you register for Career Day as space is limited.

Room-Only Interviews

Room only reservations are an appropriate option when you have received resumes through DiggerNet job postings, Career Days, other on-campus recruiting efforts, or through networking with our students. Employers must contact the Career Center in advance to schedule a room for these interviews.

Pre-Select Interviews

Pre-selecting interviewees is an efficient service and time-saver for employers. With this option, scheduling and logistics that match your needs are handled by Career Center staff, and communications to students occur directly through the DiggerNet system.

Phone and Video Interviews

The Career Center offers space and electronic support should you seek to interview our students over the phone or through a virtual platform.

Information Sessions

Employer information sessions provide employers with an opportunity to brand their companies, kick off an on-campus recruiting event, and/or connect with particular students organizations. Information sessions can also provide a convenient way of presenting information to students who may have been pre-selected for interviews. Additionally, these sessions provide a way to informally recruit other interested students and fill your organizations’ interview schedule while on campus.

Special Recruiting Events

At various times throughout the year, the Mines Career Center will host special recruiting events to connect employers with our students.

For example, the Spring Launch Recruiting Event is a focused, end-of-the-semester recruiting and interviewing event designed to allow recruiters with immediate needs to interview graduating Mines students.
