Employer Interviews/Info Sessions
Interviewing / recruiting is centralized at Mines through the Career Center, making your experience optimal and seamless. Mines has several options to choose from, offering recruiting assistance throughout the year.
Career Fair Week: Career Fair participants (only) may create appointment schedules for immediate follow-up with candidates during Career Fair Week. Request to reserve a space soon after you register for Career Day, as space is limited.
Room Only Interviews: Room only reservations are appropriate when you have received resumes through DiggerNet job postings, Career Fair or other recruiting events, or networking. Employers must contact the Career Center in advance to schedule a room for these interviews.
Pre-Select Interviews: Pre-selecting interviewees is a true service and time-saver for you. Scheduling and logistics that match your needs are handled by Career Center staff; communications to students occur directly through the DiggerNet system.
Phone, Skype, Video: The Career Center offers space and electronic support, including scheduling appointments and connecting with your required electronic platforms.
Many companies use these meetings to brand their company and/or kick off their on-campus interviewing event. Information sessions provide a convenient way of presenting information to students who have been selected for interviews. It also provides a way to informally recruit other interested students and fill the interview schedule.
Special Recruiting Events
Virtual Career Fairs are a GREAT event for companies with open positions wishing to receive more exposure and applicants without any extra work or cost. The Spring Launch Recruiting Event is a more focused end of the semester recruiting / interviewing event. Recruiters will interview students and graduates who have responded to your DiggerNet job posting… and additional qualified applicants who will arrive with their resumes.
