Testimonials

The Testimonials content type allows you to highlight quotes, personal experiences, featured individuals or key messages on a page. Testimonials are a good way to share perspectives from students, faculty, staff, alumni and other members of the Mines community. They can also be used to feature individuals and their accomplishments, providing a more personal connection to the information being presented.

Testimonials are available in two formats: Quotes and Spotlights. Quotes are intended to feature statements or feedback from individuals, while Spotlights provide an opportunity to highlight a person, their experiences or their achievements in more detail.

Both Quotes and Spotlights can be displayed as a single item or a carousel. A single item works well when you have one quote or person to feature, while a carousel allows visitors to navigate through multiple testimonials within the same section of a page.

This content type works well on academic program pages, department websites, student experience pages and other areas where firsthand perspectives can help tell a story or provide additional context.

When adding testimonials, keep quotes focused and avoid lengthy statements that may be difficult to read. Use accurate attribution and obtain permission from the individuals being featured before publishing their quotes or photos. Images should be high quality and appropriate for the content.

See examples of the available Quotes and Spotlights options below.

“Mine's graduates will always be known for their grit, technical knowledge, teamwork, and a bias for getting things done. Along with these essentials comes an emerging need for greater digital and data literacy, increased business acumen, and a contextual understanding of their responsibility to and impact on society."
